After gradually showing improvement during each competition this season, the Winder-Barrow High School competition cheerleaders had their breakthrough performance Saturday in Columbus.
WBHS won its division with a score of 268.
“Nothing fell and we put in a new pyramid,” said coach Jerrie Hulsey. “We had a few bobbles, but all in all it was a better day. We maxed out in all categories for difficulty. We won’t change anymore of the routine. We’ll just focus on cleaning it up. Our new dance and pyramid maxed out on points. It wasn’t as clean as I wanted, but we had a much better day.”
The Cheer Doggs will be back in action Saturday, Oct. 20, when they compete at Loganville High School.
