JEFFERSON - Ronnie J. Garmon, 74, died Friday, November 9, 2012.
Mr. Garmon was a member of Johns Creek Baptist Church. He belonged to the Norcross Masonic Lodge #228 F&AM and the Shriners. He was also in the Center Stage Bluegrass Band playing the guitar and could play anything with strings, and the harmonica. Mr. Garmon was inducted into the GA Country Music Hall of Fame. He was the owner and operator of Brogdon’s Garage in Chamblee for 35 years.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jean B. Garmon, Jefferson; sons and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Garmon, Hoschton and Greg and Jenny Garmon, Monroe; brother, David Garmon, Winter Springs, Fla.; three grandchildren, Jessica Garmon, Joshua Garmon, and Justin Garmon, and one great-granddaughter, Kodi Garmon.
The funeral service was held Monday, November 12, at 2 p.m., at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home in Norcross. Burial followed at North Atlanta Memorial Park in Doraville. Online condolences may be expressed at www.crowellbrothers.com.
