BRENAU cross country runner Brittany Aikens, a former Jackson County distance standout, has qualified for nationals for the second consecutive year.
Aikens was the top runner for Brenau at Nov. 3 at the conference meet at Clinton, Miss., finishing second with a 19:12.
She was just four seconds off the first-place pace. Aikens is the only female at Brenau Univeristy to ever attend the national competition. She is the highest placing athlete in the school’s history as well.
Nationals are in Vancouver, Wash.
