Talmadge Fortson (12-6-12)

DANIELSVILLE - Talmadge Fortson, 72, Danielsville, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012, at the St. Mary's Hospice House in Bogart.

He was born in Madison County on September 5, 1940, the son of the late John Grady and Cumi Vastine Carey Fortson. He was a technician having worked with Westinghouse and a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church. Mr. Fortson was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Dean Peeples Fortson; and a sister, JoAnne Atkinson.

Survivors include children, Allen (Jan) Fortson, Danielsville, Robert (Courtney) Fortson, Statham, and Sandra (Lamar) Dalton, Danielsville; and grandchildren, Gabe Dalton, Lindsey Dalton, Macy Dalton, Bristol Fortson, Anna Fortson, and Katlyn Stewart.

Graveside services for will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 10, at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Spence officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, December 9. The family is at their respective homes.
