Johnnie McClung (1-2-13)

COMMERCE - Johnnie Mack McClung, 81, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Athens Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Beckley, W. Va., the son of the late Jack and Laura Moore McClung. Mr. McClung was retired from the U.S. Post Office and was a United States Air Force Veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Betty McDuffie McClung, Commerce; daughters, Vonna McClung, Marietta, and Donna McClung, Commerce; son, Norm McClung, Acworth; sister, Freda Deitz, Mt. Lookout, W. Va.; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 4, at 2 p.m. from Gillsville Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, January 3, from 6 to 8 p.m.
