Bobby Mullins Sr. (1-17-13)

LULA - Bobby Eugene Mullins Sr., 73, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2013.

He was born on July 24, 1939, in Pike County, Ky., the son of the late George M. and Icey (Greer) Mullins. Bobby was preceded in death by three grandchildren; one brother; and one sister.

In addition to his beloved wife of 50 years, Mary Holifield Mullins, survivors include their 13 children, Linda Pidgeon, Flat Rock, Mich., Gary Mullins, Homer, Paul Mullins, Orlando, Fla., Jimmy Mullins, Oxford, Fla., Nina Wade, Alto, Candy Stapp, Gillsville, Sherry Dodd, Homer, Tina Black, Gainesville, Tricia Chitwood, Lula, Jessica Mullins, Dallas, Texas, Mike Mullins, Penny Hunter, and Bobby Mullins, all of Lula; sons-in-law, Fredrick Pidgeon, Darryl Wade, Johnny Stapp, Kenneth Dodd, Chris Black, Clint Chitwood, and Mark Hunter; daughters-in-law, Shelia Mullins, Susie Mullins, and Erika Mullins; 30 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother; six sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation with the family will be held at Gillsville Baptist Church in Gillsville, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, January 19. Funeral services will be held at Dorton Creek Old Regular Baptist Church in Dorton, Ky., Sunday, January 20, at 6 p.m. and Monday, January 21, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the Holifield Cemetery at the head of Cabin Fork.
