The newly expanded and fully renovated Commerce Public Library will not open Thursday morning as planned, apparently because the move back into the South Broad Street building has not been completed.
Details as to when the facility will open have not been announced.
The $2 million project was funded by more than $580,000 raised locally and a state grant of about $1.5 million. A grand re-opening celebration remains scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 2.
