Ernest Bragg Jr. (1-23-13)

FLOWERY BRANCH – Ernest Edward Bragg Jr., 89, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

He was born in Augusta on April 10, 1923, the son of the late Ernest Edward Bragg Sr. and Lillian Virginia Bragg. He was a member of Mount Salem Baptist Church, served in the United States Navy, and had been an insurance claims adjuster with the State of Georgia. Mr. Bragg was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Adams Bragg.

Survivors include a stepson and daughter-in-law, Brian and Angie Thomas, Flowery Branch; granddaughter and husband, Lyndsey and Clay Smith; and grandson, Brody Thomas.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 25, at 11 a.m., from the chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with the Revs. Clyde Self and Paul Wade officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 24, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mount Salem Baptist Church, 6152 Mount Salem Circle, Flowery Branch, GA 30542.
