The Commerce Planning Commission will consider requests for an annexation and for a rezoning Monday night.
The planners will meet at 7 p.m. in the Peach Room of the Commerce Civic Center. Recommendations on the two matters will be taken up by the Commerce City Council at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 11, in the Commerce Room of the Commerce Civic Center.
Justin Turner and Angela Lunsford have asked for the rezoning of a three-acre tract at the end of Waters Lane (off Ila Road) from R-5 (multifamily housing) to C-2 (commercial).
In the other item on the agenda for Monday, Dewitt Price seeks the annexation of a lot at 901 Smallwood Drive into the city. The site is a little less than an acre. Zoned A-2 in Jackson County, the request is for R-1 in the city.
