SNELLVILLE - Marjorie F. “Margie” Parham, 73, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013.
A 1957 graduate of Madison County High School, she was a member of the 1957 Georgia High School Women’s Basketball Championship Team; a member of the First Baptist Church of Snellville; and a Para-Pro for Gwinnett County Public School System. Mrs. Parham was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Cornelius Parham in 2010.
Survivors include children, Mark and Susan Parham, Bethlehem, and Roger and Kelly Parham, Dacula; brothers and sister-in-law, Frank Fleming, Comer, and Hewatt and Elizabeth Fleming, Danielsville; sister, Frances Knight, Danielsville; grandchildren, Charla and Tony Freeman, John-Mark and Nicole Parham, Miriam Parham, Josiah and Jessica Parham, Casey Parham, Austin Parham; great-grandchildren, Faith Freeman, Noah Freeman, Eden Freeman and Emerson Parham.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 30, in the Snellville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. The Rev. Tommy Rutledge and Rick Forbes will officiate. Burial will follow at Meadow Baptist Church Cemetery, Comer. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, January 29, at the funeral home.
