Barry Thurmond (1-25-13)

BRASELTON - Barry Craig Thurmond, 47, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2013, at Seven Rivers Medical Center in Leesburg, Fla.

He was born June 1, 1965, in Toccoa, the son of Buena Faye Waldon Johnson and Hubert Thurmond, Jr. He was a welder.

Survivors in addition to his parents, include two sons, Tyler Thurmond, Hoschton, and Dakota Thurmond, Maysville; two brothers, Ricky Thurmond, Auburn, and Anthony Thurmond, Dacula; and a sister, Lorri Thurmond Manning, Hoschton.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, at the B.D. Ginn Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jason Walls officiating. Burial will follow at the Allens United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family is at their respective homes. They will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Ginn Funeral Home to defray funeral expenses.

Ginn Funeral Home, Carnesville, is in charge of arrangements.
