‘Rick’ Tunnell (1-27-13)

WINDER – Rickey “Rick” Edward Tunnell, 65, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013.

He was the son of the late Willard Benton and Althea Wooten Tunnel. During his life, he worked for Johns Manville as a production supervisor and attended church at Bethel Baptist.. Mr. Tunnell was preceded in death by a son, Rickey Edward Tunnell Jr.; two brothers, Coy and Jesse Tunnell; and a sister, Marilyn Coleman.

Survivors include his wife. Linda Crook Tunnell, Winder; two daughters, Cindy (Derrick) Austin, Locust Grove, and Jody Walters, Baldwin; stepson, Cecil Beggs Jr., Adairsville; sister, Margie Brooks, Jackson; two grandchildren, Jill Tatum and Katie Austin; and two great-grandchildren, Andrew Tatum and Michael Tatum.

Memorial services will be held at Bethel Baptist Church Saturday, February 2, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Brett officiating.

Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to Bethel Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
