It didn’t happen on schedule, but the enlarged and renovated Commerce Public Library is now open.
More importantly, the city will host a grand opening celebration Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. so the public can see the results of the $2 million project.
There will be an opening ceremony at 11, door prizes will be awarded at 12:15, and Keith Karnok will put on a magic show at 12:30.
There will also be refreshments, and the Commerce High School Band will provide music for the occasion.
