Games canceled due to storm

Due to the massive storm that killed one Georgian in Adairsville this morning, and has led to severe weather warnings here, Barrow County school officials have canceled the following afternoon basketball games. They include both boys' and girls' games that were to be played at Oconee County Middle School, and a boys' game that was to be at Malcolm Bridge Middle School.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Barrow County that will last until 8 p.m. tonight. A wind advisory also is in effect until midnight.
