COMMERCE - Claude Richard Hill, 81, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013. at Hill Haven Nursing Home.
He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Richard and Maggie Lee Clark Hill. He was employed as a carpenter. Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Sue Mathis Hill; three sisters; and three brothers.
Survivors include a daughter, Annette Bowles, Commerce; sons, Danny Hill and Bobby Hill, both of Toccoa, Ray Hill, Hartwell, and Terry Hill, Selmer, Tenn.; a sister, Mildred Canady, Carnesville; brothers, Duane Hill, Carnesville, and Clinton Hill, Lavonia; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m., Saturday, February 9, at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Palmer Pace and Mr. Donald Reese officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday prior to the funeral.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
