Nell Childers (3-2-13)

CANTON - Nell Childers, 72, passed away at her residence on Saturday, March 2, 2013.

She is preceded in death by her husband, WC; and two sons, Jeffrey and Willie.

Survivors include two sons, Glenn Childers and Matthew Childers (Jessica); two daughters, Linda Phillips (Jeff Darnell) and Donna Bryan (Tony), all of Canton; and one daughter-in-law, Rose Childers-Fabiano, Hoschton; nine grandchildren, Jeremy, Robert, Amanda, Joseph, Dewayne, Brittany, Justin, Ashley and Elizabeth; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Wayne Yancey, Alabama, and William Yancey, Mississippi; and a sister, Ruth Edwards, Canton.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, from the chapel of the Darby Funeral Home. The Revs. Troy Milford and Monroe Gunter will officiate. Burial will be in the Jersulam Baptist Church Cemetery in Jasper. The family will receive friends at funeral home Monday, March 4, and Tuesday, March 5, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
