The board of directors for the Braselton LifePath has set an opening day for the long-anticipated path that connects pedestrians to the businesses of downtown Braselton. The Braselton Community Improvement District (CID) on Monday discussed details of the event, which is set for Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
The group discussed sponsorships in order to get residents to come out and meet their local businesses on the path as well as banner designs for the event.
The group is seeking sponsors under four different levels of sponsorship; a presenting sponsor (which is already taken); gold sponsors for $500; silver sponsors for $250; and bronze sponsors for $100.
The group talked about parking and a tent area with tables for registration, as well as a punch card to encourage them to try to visit all the businesses on the pathway at the time of registration. Talk of a grand prize raffle was also discussed.
The event will take place on the whole length of the path and will be family-friendly.
Children’s activities will also be available.
Establishing a temporary charging station for electric golf carts was also an issue that will need to be addressed.
Bringing police presence for the event is also being discussed, as well as a shuttle service.
Volunteers are also sought for the event. Anyone interested in volunteering, contact Herring at firstname.lastname@example.org.
