Ivie Drake has been recognized as one of the premier high school softball players in the Southeastern United States for 2013.
The rising senior was named recently to the 2013 National Fast-pitch Coaches Association (NFCA) South Region second team. She is the only player from Georgia to receive that honor.
Other players on the South Region’s first and second teams are from Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
“It is a great honor for her and our team,” said Madison County head coach Doug Kesler.
