BRASELTON - Alice "Nanny Pearl" McBrayer, 77, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013.
She was born in Ellijay, the daughter of the late John and Eva Mae McAllister Northcutt. She was retired from Crystal Farms as a candler with many years of service. She was a member of New Beginnings Outreach. Mrs. McBrayer was preceded in death by her husband, Denver McBrayer; and a grandson, Jeremy Wardlaw.
Survivors include children, Melinda (Jerry) Wardlaw, Nicholson, Debby (Tim) Cantrell, Commerce, Shirley (David) Cantrell, Braselton, and David McBrayer, Athens; step-children, Don McBrayer, Jefferson, and Shelia Moore, Lawrenceville; sisters, Frances McClesky, Cumming, Mary Pruitt, Cumming, Christine McPherson, Cumming, Dolly Thornton, Lincolnton, and Barbara Ledbetter, Cumming; brother, Bill Northcutt, Ball Ground; sister-in-law, Genvea Northcutt, Cumming; grandchildren, Crystal Sears, Joshua Wardlaw, Andrew Mauldin, Niki Vincoli, Jason Rutledge, Tina Kyte, Kelly Green, Kevin Rutledge, Robin Rutledge, Kirstie McBrayer, Donald McBrayer, Eric Moore, and Stephanie Corley; 16 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services were held Friday, September 20, at New Beginnings Outreach with the Revs. Wayne Norris and Truman Humphries officiating. Interment was at Barrow Memorial Gardens in Winder.
