ATHENS - Harvey Kimball Baron, 85, passed away Saturday February 15, 2014.
Mr. Baron was born in Providence, R.I., the son of the late James and Amiee Pinder Baron. He was a veteran of the United States Army and the United States Air Force serving during World War II, Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Mr. Baron was an auto/truck mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Hollis Baron, Athens; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael John and Tracy Lynn Baron, Jefferson, and Richard Lynn and Inna Baron, Commerce; grandchildren, Jesse Richard Baron, Matthew Douglas Baron, Holly Lynn Baron, and Jonathon Baron.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 18, at 2 p.m. at the Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Eric Shelton officiating. Those honored as pallbearers will be Jesse Baron, Matthew Baron, Jonathan Baron, Darren Glenn, and Toby Glenn. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 17, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Flowers are optional or donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
