MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT VICTIM TRANSPORTED BY HELICPOTER

A motorcycle accident victim was transported to an area hospital by helicopter. On August 07, Banks County Fire/EMS responded to 1840 Bennett Road, Homer, on a reported accident involving a motorcycle/dirt bike. Upon arrival, units found a single-vehicle, dirt/bike involved in an accident with one patient. The patient was determined to have serious injuries and medical transport by helicopter was initiated. The patient was stabilized by Banks County EMS personnel and transferred to the helicopter crew. The patient was transported by air to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in critical condition. No other injuries were reported and the incident is under investigation by the Banks County Sheriff’s Office.
