James William Barron, 63, of Bold Springs, died Sunday, May 4, 2008.

He was born in Montgomery, Ala., the son of the late William Harrison and Lois Tomlin Barron. He was retired as vice president for Barrow Manufacturing Company as their national sales director, and was a member of the Bold Springs United Methodist Church. Mr. Barron was a member of the American Legion, member of the Harley Hogg Club and was a Patriot Guard member.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Murphy Barron, Bold Springs; sons, Michael Barron, Cincinnati, Ohio, Pettit Ewing, Hattiesburg, Miss., and Shannon Murphy Ewing, Dacula; a daughter, Marie Barron, Winder; eight grandchildren; brother, Gerald Barron, Montgomery, Ala.; and sisters, Rhonda Barron and Alicia Broderick, Deatsville, Ala.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 7, at Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Earl Goode officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bold Springs United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Smith Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
