Barrow County Church News for Dec. 19

•The church chancel choir and orchestra will present A Celtic Christmas Celebration at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, and 8:45 and 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 22. 

•The church will hold Christmas Eve candlelight services at 5, 6:30 and 11 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24. A nursery will be provided at the 5 and 6:30 services. 

First Baptist Church of Carl will be offering pictures with Santa Claus from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22.

People are asked to help fill the emergency food pantry by bringing canned foods and non-perishables.

Miracle Deliverance Holiness Church, in conjunction with the Winder Community Food Bank, is now giving out food every Thursday to those in need from noon until 2 p.m. inside the church.

“In order to receive a food box you must bring ID, Social Security cards for all household members and a current bill with your name on it,” organizers said.
