PHOTO: First responder parade supports NGMC Barrow during pandemic

First responders sounded their sirens as they paraded around Northeast Georgia Medical Center Barrow to show support to healthcare staff as the coronavirus pandemic continues. Healthcare employees stood outside to wave on Wednesday, May 6, as Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith led area fire and EMS officials around the building. The Rotary Club of Winder also showed their support with a parade on Thursday, May 7. Chad Hatfield, president of NGMC Barrow, said that since the pandemic began, the outpouring from the community has been “fantastic.” “With the support from local community partners it really shows how the community pulls together when we have to fight something like COVID-19,” Hatfield said.
