PHOTO: New voting machines to be used starting next month

Monica Franklin, chief registrar for Barrow County elections, programs one of the county's new voting machines in preparation for the March 24 presidential primary. Ben Apeh, voting technician with Dominion Voting Systems, watches the process. Ten machines were programmed Feb. 20 for early voting. Franklin said the county has received 231 of the voting machines, with printers, for the March 24 election. Nine of the 10 machines worked when programmed. The printers were not tested while a reporter was there.
