Members of the Statham Tree Committee, along with city employees, worked together recently to plant 16 new trees along Broad and Railroad streets. The committee was formed two years ago to replace the canopy of trees throughout the city that had been removed because of their age and safety concerns. Pictured, from left to right, are Christine Bogenrieder, Kurt Bogenrieder, city councilman Gary Venable and city councilman Dwight McCormic.
