The following incidents were among those that the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office responded to December 29-January 4:

•theft by receiving – motor vehicle, fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer for a felony offense, willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, reckless conduct, Driving Under the Influence (DUI) of alcohol to the extent that it is less safe for the person to drive, reckless driving, operating an unregistered vehicle/new resident has 30 days to register a vehicle, no insurance, headlight requirements violation, taillights requirement violation, improper lane change/failure to maintain lane, speeding a driving on the wrong side of the road on Greeson Rd., Statham, where a four-wheeler was reported driving with no lights on. When officers arrived the found a male driving the four-wheeler with a female passenger on the back.

•criminal trespass – Family Violence Act (FVA) on Heritage Ln., Winder, where a domestic dispute was reported between a man and his live-in son-in-law.

•theft by shoplifting at Walmart, Atlanta Hwy. NW, Winder, where a couple had reportedly taken over $77 in merchandise and left without paying.

•aggravated assault and terroristic threats and acts on Fletcher Dr., Winder, where a domestic dispute was reported a firearm had reportedly been discharged at someone.

•fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer for a felony offense, reckless driving and failure to obey a stop sign or yield after stopping and improper lane change/failure to maintain lane on Dee Kennedy Rd. at Hwy. 211 NW, Winder, where a traffic stop was conducted.

•possession and use of drug-related objects and possession of methamphetamine on Angel St., Bethlehem, where a verbal dispute between two females was reported.

•failure to register s a sex offender/failure to comply with requirements/providing false information on East Broad St., Winder.

•simple battery – FVA on Hwy. 82, Winder, where a domestic dispute between a man and his wife was reported.

•possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Driving Under the Influence (DUI) of alcohol to the extent that it is less safe for the person to drive and driving while driver’s license is suspended or revoked on Hog Mountain Rd. at University Pkwy., Winder, where a person was reportedly unconscious in the driver’s seat of a car parked in the southbound lane of travel.

•DUI – multiple substances and following too closely on University Pkwy. at Christmas Ave., Bethlehem, where a motor vehicle collision with injuries was reported.

•theft by shoplifting, possession of methamphetamine and possession and use of drug-related objects at Walmart, Atlanta Hwy. NW, Winder, where a female had taken multiple items and attempted to leave the store without paying.

•driving while driver’s license is suspended or revoked and expired license plate on University Pkwy. at Bethlehem Rd., Statham, where a traffic stop was conducted.

•DUI – alcohol to the extent that it is less safe for the person to drive, reckless driving, too fast for conditions and expired license plate on Pin Oak Dr., Bethlehem, where a traffic stop was conducted.

•no insurance and driving while driver’s license is suspended or revoked on University Pkwy. at Christmas Ave., Bethlehem, where a traffic stop was conducted.

•terroristic threats and acts and harassing communications on Ridgeland Rd., Bethlehem, where a woman reported her boyfriend was harassing her and threatening her and her family.

•driving while driver’s license is suspended or revoked on University Pkwy. at Bethlehem Rd., Statham, where a traffic stop was conducted.

•DUI – drugs and expired license plate on Monroe Hwy. at Bethlehem Church Rd., Bethlehem, where a traffic stop was conducted.

•speeding, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies and possession and use of drug-related objects on Patrick Mill Rd. SW at Carl-Bethlehem Rd., Winder, where a traffic stop was conducted.

•willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, driving while driver’s license is suspended or revoked, DUI – alcohol to the extent it is less safe for the person to drive and improper lane change/failure to maintain lane on Gainesville Hwy. at Mulberry Rd., Winder, where a one-vehicle accident was reported.

•driving while driver’s license is suspended or revoked, improper lane change/failure to maintain lane, hands-free Georgia act violation, expired license plate and hold for another agency on University Pkwy. at Carl-Bethlehem Rd., Winder, where a traffic stop was conducted.
