PHOTOS: Kiwanis Club recognizes ‘peace officers’ of the year

The Kiwanis Club of Winder recently recognized two individuals for “outstanding dedication and service to the citizens of Winder and Barrow County.” The Winder Police Department selection was Officer Cameron Corradi and the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office selection was Canine Deputy Mike Stiles. Pictured above is Darryl Gumz of the Kiwanis Club presenting Corradi’s award to Chief Jim Fullington of the WPD. The Kiwanis Club, founded in 1925, has a long tradition of recognizing individuals from both agencies for their performance as public servants. Club president Joann Smith said, “We are honored to recognize these excellent young men for their sacrifices for the community.” For more information about Kiwanis, call Gumz at 770-605-6656.
