The Barrow County Superior Court recently sentenced the following people. Those charged and their sentences are listed below. Charges listed as nolle prosequi are those in which the prosecutor or plaintiff indicated they would not proceed with the case. In criminal cases, a disposition of nolle prosequi may be entered when evidence proves innocence or charges cannot otherwise be proved. The following sentences were issued as part of negotiated plea agreements on March 3, 2010 with Superior Court Judge T. Penn McWhorter presiding:

• Lourdes Perez, battery and simple battery: two years probation, no violent contact with victim and a $1,500 fine.

• Latisha Perez, battery and simple battery: two years probation, no violent contact with victim and a $1,500 fine.

Sentences issued in Barrow County Magistrate Court

The following animal ordinance violation cases were heard in Barrow County Magistrate Court on March 2, 2010 with Judge June Davis presiding. Those charged and their sentences are as follows:

• Chastity Michelle Bagby, 12 months probation, $273 fine and $45 in restitution.

• Wesley Allen Bagwell, $138 fine.

• Mitchell Dywayne Bowers, bench warrant issued.

• Theresa A. Boyle, bench warrant issued.

• Karen Ann Brent, bench warrant issued.

• Mary Elizabeth Clark, 12 months probation and a $276 fine.

• James Edsel Clonts, $343 fine suspended.

• Jeffrey M. Davis, $208.50 in fines.

• David D. Fallaw, $138 fine suspended.

• Tommy Caroline Frazier, $70.50 fine and $95 in restitution.

• Martin Gonzalez, 12 months probation, $960 in fines, purchase $15,000 insurance policy for dangerous dog and pay $100 in restitution.

• Noel Grandados, 12 months probation and a $963 in fines.

• Henry Ralph McKean III, four years probation, $119.28 in restitution, no animals for 24 months and $1,564.50 in fines.

• Benjamin Haney, $138 fine suspended.

• Jamie Osteen, $200.16 in restitution.

• Rachel Blanche Shattuck, $138 fine.

• Shane Eric Wilson, $45 bench warrant fee and $417 in fines.

The following misdemeanor crimes cases were heard in Barrow County Magistrate Court on March 2, 2010 with Judge June Davis presiding. Those charged and their sentences are as follows:

• Matthew Allan Birman, disorderly conduct: 12 months probation, $273 fine and 32 hours of community service.

• Jennifer Jane Bresson, theft by shoplifting: case transferred to Superior Court.

• Tara Marie Click, disorderly conduct: bench warrant.

• Megan Elizabeth Hunt, underage consumption of alcohol: pretrial diversion, 12 months probation, $205.50 fine, $100 fee and 32 hours of community service.

• Jean M. Reczek, theft by shoplifting: 12 months probation, $678 fine and 32 hours of community service.

• Tracy Marie Reczek, theft by shoplifting: 12 months probation, $678 fine and 32 hours of community service.

• Lindsay Jordan Shepley, disorderly conduct: $273 fine and a $45 bench warrant fee.

• Jack Troutman, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana: pretrial diversion, 12 months probation, $100 fee and 100 hours of community service in lieu of fine.

• Tina Louise Cruze, theft by shoplifting: 12 months probation, $678 fine and 32 hours of community service.

The following deposit account fraud cases were heard in Barrow County Magistrate Court on March 2, 2010 with Judge June Davis presiding. Those charged and their sentences are as follows:

• Gwendolyn Davis, 12 months probation, financial responsibility class, $198.37 in restitution, $497.50 in fines and fees.

• Quinyonnist B. Johnson, failure to appear.

• Leslie Kimball, $594.37 in restitution.

• Norris Lyle, 24 months probation, financial responsibility class, $281.46 in restitution, $565 in fines and fees.

• David Richmon, failure to appear.

• L. Troy Spilliards, 12 months probation, financial responsibility class, $245.05 in restitution, $712.50 in fines and fees.

• Tammy S. Tippett, 12 months probation, financial responsibility class, $301.99 in restitution, $350 in fines and fees.
