Incidents reported recently by the Auburn Police Department include:
•Three people were arrested after a traffic stop on Parks Mill Road. Jimmy Holland Evans, 42, 2296 Dresden Dr., Atlanta, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, driving on a suspended license, possession and use of drug-related objects and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. Two passengers also were charged. They are Timothy Shane Bray, no age given, 155 Quail Valley Rd., Apt. B, Auburn, who was arrested on outstanding Barrow County warrants and for giving a false name, address or birthdate to a law enforcement officer and Holly Diane Crowe, no age given, 155 Quail Valley Rd., Apt. B, Auburn, who was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession and use of drug-related objects. Evans was the driver and the other two were passengers along with a juvenile. Officers found unused syringes, used syringes, $1,612 in cash, glass pipe, digital scales, a “solo” cup with methamphetamine residue, five baggies with methamphetamine and a baggie with marijuana.
•An employee of the public works department turned in a sawed-off shotgun that was found in a pool case in a hole by the Auburn Elementary School. The criminal records indicated the weapon was stolen in Mississippi in 2004. It was a 12-gauge shotgun, believed to be an old Sears brand. The barrel was cut off just behind the magazine tube and the stock cut off to a pistol-grip.
•A man said he ran into a tree in the road. He had only minor damage and backed the truck out.
•A real estate agent said he went to an Elk Grove house for a showing and the garage door leading to the house had been kicked open, breaking the interior casing from the wall.
•A Jefferson woman was charged with drug-related violations after a traffic stop on Mount Moriah Road, Auburn. Lauren Danielle Prickett, 23, 40 Chadwick Ct., Jefferson, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession and use of drug-related objects and driving while unlicensed. She said first nothing was in the car. Then she told an officer there was a loaded methamphetamine syringe in the vehicle.
•A Monroe man was held on outstanding warrants from Barrow County when an officer found him on Atlanta Highway and made a traffic stop. Kendall Wade Holmes, 35, 1700 Jeremy Dr., Monroe, was arrested.
•An Oxford man was held on an Athens-Clarke County warrant after a traffic stop on Mount Moriah Road. Roy Allen Chasteen, 28, 4799 Lower Jersey Rd., Oxford, was arrested.
