The first day of classes for fall semester 2019 set a new enrollment record at Lanier Technical College.

The college had 4,613 students in classes Monday, a record for its 55 years

The record exceeded the 4,432 students, which had been the record, in 2010.

Nearly 2,700 new students arrived on the college's five campuses Monday.

Ray Perren, president of Lanier Tech, said, “We are thrilled with our enrollment growth, and we are especially pleased that the record enrollment is across all of the college's five campuses.
