Apalachee High School nutrition and food science teacher Brooke Lewis-Slamkova recently received national recognition from the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). She has been named a 2023 Master Adviser Award recipient.
Approximately 100 advisers out of more than 6,900 across the country receive this recognition. The award is presented to those who advise an affiliated chapter for at least three years, promote the organization, operate an integrated chapter, facilitate youth-centered activities and stay updated on news within the organization.
