WBCT donates to Feeding Barrow

Winder-Barrow Community Theatre brought “live” theatre back to the community during October with the world premiere of “The Miss Magnolia Senior Citizen Beauty Pageant,” the third play in a series by Statham resident Leslie Kimbell. The organization donated $500 of its show proceeds to the Barrow County School System's Feeding Barrow initiative to purchase 72 weekend meal bags for the 406 students served weekly by the initiative. "WBCT has been a long-time supporter of the Feeding Barrow, and we are grateful for their continued help in caring for Barrow students in need," leaders said. "(All) of all Feeding Barrow donations go to purchasing food to fill the weekend meal bags for students. Thank you WBCT for helping fight childhood hunger in Barrow County."
