WBHS graduating senior joining U.S. Army

Brailee Lynn Messer, a member of the Winder-Barrow High School graduating class of 2021, has enlisted in the U.S. Army and is scheduled to deploy June 8 with the MOS (Military Occupational Specialties) Being Mortuary Affairs. She will be shipped from Winder to Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and will be gone for more than four months for basic training and mortuary affairs specialists training. Messer is the daughter of Angie Orr and the late Alvin Messer Jr. and Jeff Orr. She has an older brother, 2020 WBHS graduate Bradley Messer, who is actively serving in the U.S. Army, a little brother, Christian Orr, and an older sister, Susan Pruett. Her grandparents are Eula and the late Tony Williams Sr., Alvin Messer Sr. and Donna Messer, Virgil and Joyce Warren, John William Orr and Dee Dee Basinger, and Tony and Danielle Santamaria.
