Apalachee’s Currey signs with Truett McConnell

Apalachee High School senior soccer player Sarah Currey signed with Truett McConnell University of Friday, March 6. Currey is a four-year varsity starter and has scored 50-plus goals during her career. She’s one of the most versatile players the program has seen, AHS coach Paul Thornton said, playing every position and leading the Lady Wildcats to the program’s first every playoff win last spring as goalkeeper. Currey is in goal again this season, but will play forward at Truett McConnell. Currey is a captain and is a "perfect example of a positive leader and teammate," Thornton said.
