Drop off sugar cookies for NGMC Braselton staff

Michael Kane and Patsy of Star Barks Inn recently visited Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton to deliver 200 sugar cookies to staff as a “thank you” for taking care of the community during the Coronavirus pandemic. The cookies, designed by Lee’s Custom Cookies in Flowery Branch, featured the Star Barks logo along with paw print shaped cookies that read, “You’re pawsome!” Kane was a volunteer firefighter for the Roswell Fire Department for over 10 years. “Giving back to the community is something that is very near and dear to my heart,” said Kane. “I know what it is like being on the front lines and I know how the smallest heartfelt gesture can inspire people when they are simply exhausted.” Kane said two of his closest friends, one a physician and the other a nurse, continue to inspire him. “They are selfless and their dedication to assisting people in their time of need, without the concern for their own safety is inspiring. When the opportunity arose to give back to my Braselton community, I felt an obligation to do what I could,” said Kane. “I know first-hand the challenges associated with healthcare and being a first responder and they all deserve and have earned our respect.”
