Jackson County authorities recently arrested a man after complaints about clerks at a Hoschton store.

Mahbub Alam, 47, of Lawrenceville, faces three counts of furnishing alcohol to a person under 21 and one count of furnishing tobacco to a minor.

“The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office had received multiple complaints about the clerks at the Hoschton Discount Beer and Tobacco selling alcohol, tobacco and vape pens to minors,” the JCSO said in a news release.

Following an investigation, officers arrested Alam on Sept. 15 for selling alcohol and vape pens to a person under 21 years old.
