CELEBRATES 100TH BIRTHDAY

Carrie Eloise "Weezie" Tucker recently celebrated her 100th birthday. She lives at Bountiful Hills in Commerce. She is shown with Commerce Mayor Clark Hill. She was born in Carnesville, the daughter of Jim and Eula Tucker, who were sharecroppers. She had four sisters and one brother. She was the third daughter and is the last surviving child. She never married and is retired from Sears and Roebuck. She also worked at Armory in Augusta. She attends the First Baptist Church of Commerce. She attended Indian Creek Church before that.
