Jackson Trail Christian School FFA member Clay Lawrence recently secured the title as State Champion in the FFA Quiz Career Development Event. The state championship was held at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton. Clay started the competition in November when he won the Area 2 competition at Winder-Barrow High School. In December at the State Finals there were 12 FFA members from across the State competing for the state title. Clay secured the State Champion title by making a perfect score on the 50 question test. In the second part of the competition was oral questions where he also had a perfect score. Awards will be presented April 29 at the State FFA Convention in Macon. Clay is the son of Shannon and Carol Lawrence of Hoschton.
