Local churches make shoe boxes for Christmas

Several local churches are making Christmas shoe boxes for Appalachian Lights Ministry that will go to the poverty stricken areas of the Appalachia. The shoe boxes are due on Friday, Dec. 6, and will be delivered by Terry Tanner. Churches participating are: Berea Baptist Church of Nicholson, Center Grove Baptist Church and Holly Springs United Methodist Church both of Pendergrass, Clemons Chapel UMC, Hickory Flat UMC and Lula UMC, all in Lula.
