Although the details haven’t been set, Congressman Doug Collins has a meeting with Windstream CEO Tony Thomas slated for May 9. Rep. Collins, whose district covers Northeast Georgia, has previously sent letters to Windstream complaining about the firm’s poor service in his district.

Rep. Collins has gotten involved in the debate since the firm has a special tax status and also because it has accepted taxpayer fund for providing Internet services to rural areas.
