The City of Maysville made its fiscal year 2020 preliminary budget available to attendees at a recent city council meeting.

Total revenue in Maysville is projected to be up approximately $51,000 from 2019. The revenue for FY2020 is $735,025.

The largest revenue increases in Maysville are in electric franchise tax and local sales tax. The electric franchise tax revenue in FY2019 was $70,000 and is projected to be up to $84,000 in FY2020. Local sales tax climbed from $270,000 to $300,000.

The police department requested $154,320 for full-time salaries $31,000 for health insurance and $15,750 for new vehicle purchases in FY2020

The largest public works expense is improvements to parks at $30,000, but that is down from $33,240 last year and $57,091 in FY2018.
