East Jackson Elementary School teachers Melia Morris and Taylor Hardy were recently selected for this year’s G-CASE Special Education Administrator Development Academy — the first teachers to represent Jackson County Schools in the program.

The one-year program is a cohort to train Georgia’s special education leaders in preparation for administrative roles. There are five meetings culminating in a presentation of participants’ projects based on the training. The presentation will be at the Classic Center in Athens in March 2023.
