SK BATTERY AMERICA DONATES $60,000 TO EMPOWER CENTER

SK Battery America made a $60,000 financial commitment to the Empower College and Career Center. The presentation was made at the Sept. 9 meeting of the Jackson County Board of Education. Shown are: (L-R) April Howard, Jackson County School System superintendent; John Uesseler, CEO of Empower College and Career Center; and Junho Hwang, CEO of SK Battery America. The Empower College and Career Center is an educational partnership with businesses in Jackson County and the surrounding area. Empower engages students in real-world learning experiences. Through partnerships with business and industry, higher education, and the local community, students work toward goals that help them reach their college and career objectives. The donation will be divided into three $20,000 annual contributions.
