Commerce First United Methodist Church’s pastor, Kathy Lamon, continues her August “Summer at the Movies” worship series on Sunday, August 18, looking at the Biblical messages in the movie “The Matrix.”

The meeting will be held in the fellowship hall for both the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. worship services.

“The first Sunday in August the message concerned the many lessons in the movie ‘Shrek’ and this past week we discovered deeper meanings in the movie ‘UP,” stated Tom Murphy. “Did you know there are lots of Easter eggs in the movie “UP?”

The last Sunday of the month Lamon will help participants rediscover “Evan Almighty.”

“Come join us and enjoy a relaxed, different kind of worship with dynamic preaching and praise music,” states Murphy.

The church is located at 54 Cherry Street, Commerce.
