‘Bert and Ernie’ are shelter’s Dogs of the Week

A pair of 2-year-old sibling pitties named “Bert” (black) and “Ernie” (gray) are this week’s Dogs of the Week at the Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter (MOAS). To facilitate the chances that these bonded brothers will find a home together, the shelter is offering the pair for $100 (adopt one, get one free). If adopted separately, the adoption fee is $100 each. The adoption fee covers their neuters, vaccines, negative heartworm tests and a microchip for each. “Bert and Ernie are darling brothers that came in together as strays, but we don't know how they are still here,” shelter officials said. “They are big, goofy, playful pit bull terriers that have so much fun together. They love to play tug of war, fetch, and tag out in the yard. We would love them to be adopted together because they love each other so much. But they would also learn to live on their own if they were adopted separately. Bert is a little more reserved and Ernie is little more of a leader. They both are dog friendly with other dogs as well, as long as the other animals doesn't get into their business too much. You will absolutely fall in love with these babies when you meet them!” To see a video of them together, go to: https://youtu.be/g4LfrnnxCYU.
