‘Bertha’ is shelter’s ‘Dog of the Week’

Bertha is a 4-year-old American Bulldog and American Staffordshire Terrier mix currently up for adoption at the Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter (MOAS). Bertha has been at the shelter since Valentine’s Day, shelter officials said. “This is actually her second visit to the shelter,” officials said. “She was adopted last year and returned. She is the sweetest and most loving dog, with big smiles. She just wants your attention. She also has a lot of energy and gets the ‘zoomies,’ too. She must the the only animal in the home, as she does not get along with other dogs nor cats. Humans are her favorite and she doesn't like to share them.” Bertha’s adoption is sponsored by a MOAS supporter, so there is no adoption fee. For more information about Bertha or to make an appointment to visit her, call MOAS at 706-795-2868. Bertha is spayed and up to date on vaccines, wormer and is heartworm negative.
