Girl Scouts visit Crawford W. Long statue

“Daisies” and “Brownies” from Girl Scout Troop 13072 of Madison County recently visited the statue of Crawford W. Long as part of earning their “Celebrating Community” badge. They learned that Long was from Danielsville and is credited with the discovery of sulfuric ether in 1842. Pictured are Michaela, Zofia, and Eowyn. Leaders (not pictured) are Keri McGinnis and Angela Powell.
