Hyche receives ramp from the Rotary Club

The Madison County Rotary Club ramp crew built its 797th ramp for Dawn Hyche on Spratlin Mill Road in Hull Tuesday, Nov. 17. Hyche suffers from Guillain-Barre Syndrome, a rare disorder in which your body’s immune system attacks your nerves. She recently started feeling tingling and weakness in her extremities, which quickly worsened and has left her paralyzed from the waist down. Hyche also has further complications from leukemia. Thankfully, she has a large, caring family helping her that includes six children and six grandchildren. Hyche worked for many years at the University of Georgia, but now must focus on her rehabilitation. She attends the New Grove Baptist Church and the Word of Life Church. The ramp crew consisted of Ed Brown, Johnny Minish, Alan Phillips, Artry Bishop, Mitchell Hill, Walton Hill, David McGuiness, Bruce Gandy, Mike Williams, Ralph Hudgens, Harry Rice, Mark Wiggins and Wesley Chandler.
