MOAS 'Pets of the Week'

The Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter’s “Dog of the Week” is Butch, a male/neutered, 6-year-old, 52-lb., pit bull terrier, who is now in a foster home and is available for adoption. “We are happy Butch got out of the kennels because he was nervous and pacing in circles,” said shelter staff members. “He was great out in the yard, but being in the kennel made him anxious. So now he is in a home where he is more comfortable. Butch is a good boy with big smiles and lots of love to give. He is even great to with cats and dogs! Come give this big hunk a hug! We would love to set up a meet and greet with you.” To meet Butch, contact the shelter foster coordinator at coordinator@moaspets.com and fill out an adoption application online at www.moaspets.com/adoptionapp.

The Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter’s “Cat of the Week” is Tux, a male/neutered, who has been at the shelter for seven weeks. “Tux is a sweet 2-year-old tuxedo that loves snoozing in his formal wear,” shelter staff members said. “He doesn't mind being woken up as long as he gets some love and snuggles in. He can be quite independent, keeping himself entertained but won't turn down human company. As he has spent more time at the shelter, he has learned to ask for more attention, meowing and hoping he can charm you. And he inevitably will. Tux is all dressed up and ready to go to his forever home!” Call the shelter at 706-795-2868 to set up a meeting with Tux.
